Interim Charges

The Lt. Governor released interim charges for the Senate State Affairs Committee. Interim hearings to discuss and research these issues will be held leading up to the 83rd Legislative Session. You can find the interim charges here.



Early Voting

11/2/2011

Early Voting is in full swing! The last day to vote early is this Friday, November 4th. There are 10 proposed Constitutional Amendments on the ballot. For an overview of the Amendments click here. Don't forget to VOTE! 



Voters' Guide

There are 10 proposed constitutional amendments that will be on the ballot come Election Day November 8, 2011. The Texas Legislative Council composed a non-partisan breakdown of each of the proposed amendments. Sen. Duncan included this breakdown in his Voters' Guide Fall 2011 Newsletter. Interim Visits

The first called special session of the 82nd Legislature ended on June 29th. Since then, Sen. Duncan has been busy touring District 28 giving consitutents an overview of the very busy sessions. Here are a few pictures from his stops in San Angelo, Lubbock and Childress.



Eminent Domain

5/23/2011

Gov. Rick Perry signed SB 18-Eminent Domain legislation into law this afternoon. The legislation will provide enduring protections for property owners. At the signing Gov. Perry called Sen. Duncan "One Heck of a negotiator" for his hard work on getting eminent domain reforms passed.
